Who We Are
The Center for Global Nursing (CGN) represents a collaboration of the UCSF School of Nursing and the UCSF Health Department of Nursing with the Institute for Global Health Sciences. As the central hub for global nursing and advanced practice initiatives, CGN brings together UCSF’s nurses, advanced practice providers (APPs), faculty, and students with global partners to advance global health through education, research, and advocacy.
A Note from our Founding Director
"Nurses are the cornerstone of the global health workforce, yet their voices and expertise are often underrepresented in global health initiatives. The Center for Global Nursing (CGN) was founded to bridge this critical gap, serving as a vibrant hub for nurses and advanced practice providers (APPs) to engage and lead in the field of global health sciences. Through dynamic partnerships, global health education, and pioneering research, we advance the nursing profession and amplify its impact worldwide."
