Marilia Diaz manages the multidisciplinary intensive care unit (ICU) at the Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is also the past president of the Puerto Rican Critical Care Medicine Society and serves as President-Elect of the Congreso del Consejo Centroamericano y del Caribe de Terapia Intensiva (COCECATI), where she contributes to advancing intensive care nursing across Latin America and the Caribbean. Diaz is also a part-time nursing professor at Sacred Heart University in Puerto Rico, where she has been teaching since 2008. At the Center for Global Nursing, Marilia is a member of our Global Nursing Advisory Council.
